Selecting your best photos

In the course of selecting my top 10 photos of 2011 I faced the challenge of selecting my finalists from a considerable number of candidates. Or, how do I trim down to 10 photos?

When +Levi Moore brought up the topic I read a few replies written out of despair, surrender and apprehension. Yes, we all seem to share some degree of anxiety when faced with this task 🙂

But I happen to just enjoy a free 24 hours of +Scott Kelby on line training and in one of his videos he described how to select the best from a group of photos. He was referring to the usual selection after a shooting session but his method applies to any occasion.

The trick is to select the ones we like the least. And work down to the number we need or until we are happy with what we have. That’s it, nice trick, eh?
